Reel Palestine’s annual film festival is back and will run from January 19th – 26th 2019. Films will be screened in collaboration with our long-term partners Cinema Akil at their very first permanent home in Dubai, Alserkal Avenue. We will also be screening for the first time at Warehouse421 in Abu Dhabi.
The festival will kick off its biggest program to date, bringing you more than two screenings per day, talks, a vibrant market of Palestinian crafts and flavors, and more surprises to be announced soon, stay tuned!
All Screenings taking place at Cinema Akil will be ticketed. Tickets will be available for sale at Cinema Akil’s box office and www.cinemaakil.com from January 2019. Tickets are AED 52.5 (VAT included).

Cinema Akil is an independent cinema platform that brings quality films from across the world to the audiences in the UAE. Showcasing directors and filmmakers across the decades, Cinema Akil aims to create awareness and interest in film and the cinematic arts. Launched in 2014 as a nomadic cinema, Cinema Akil has held over 60 pop-up nomdic cinemas attracting over 35,000 attendees in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. About Reel Palestine
Reel Palestine is an annual film festival showing a selection of alternative Palestinian films in the United Arab Emirates. The not-for-profit and volunteer-based organization was set up by group of friends in Dubai in 2014 and launched its first pop-up festival in January 2015 with the purpose of showing Palestinian culture and tenacity through film, submerging viewers in the beautiful, difficult, emotional, and inspirational moments that occur under occupation.

From Sheikh Zayed Road, take the Al Manara exit (Exit 43) into Al Quoz. Go straight on Al Manara Street until you reach the traffic light facing Home Centre. At this junction, turn right. Continue straight then turn right onto 17th Street, before the Avenue. At the end of the road, turn left onto 6A Street for parking.
The closest metro station to Alserkal Avenue is Noor Bank station. From there, you will need to take a taxi to our location.

From Abu Dhabi City:Follow the (E10) or Corniche Street towards Port Zayed (Secondary Entrance). Join 20th Street and at the 2nd roundabout turn left. From Dubai (Travelling on E11): Take Saadiyat Island / Yas Island exit onto Sheikh Khalifa Highway (E12), Continue onto Sheikh Khalifa Highway following the signs for Port Zayed (Secondary Gate). Join 20th Street, and at the 2nd roundabout, turn left. Key landmarks nearby Warehouse421 are Abu Dhabi Vegetable Market and Mina Center.
